Samsung Galaxy S5 & HTC 2 release dates
suggestions clashing announcements
The HTC Two and Samsung Galaxy S5 are two devices that are very
much talked about and anticipated. Sources have said that the two handsets may
arrive in April and February of this year. There has been a rumour going around
February thanks to the Mobile World Congress being held that month in
Barcelona. Recently a judge in an infringement case between Nokia and the HTC
let it slip that the device from HTC would arrive in February. Last year
Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the Mobile World Congress.
A judge was said to have given away the HTC One M8 release date
when he said “HTC paints a dramatic picture of what will happen am bound to say
I am somewhat skeptical about this evidence given that HTC will shortly be
launching a new flagship phone which cannot be assumed to infringe and
therefore be caught by the injunction. Nevertheless, I accept that there is a
period between now and February or March 2014 when HTC is vulnerable.”
The court case could see a ban on the sale of the HTC One Mini
in the UK and the HTC 8X. The injunction has been put on hold for now.
The CES and MWC are the biggest trade shows. Samsung chose the
MWC 2013 to reveal the Samsung Galaxy S4, while the CES 2013 was their choice
for the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. This suggests that Samsung may
reveal the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 at the events this year.
Another report suggests that maybe this may change and the
Samsung Galaxy S5 could make its way out in April, with Samsung launching the
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the new Galaxy F series at an earlier date. Rumours
have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could have a camera of 16MP, a 64-bit
processor, metal body and a curved display of 2k resolution. Nothing has been
said about what to expect from the HTC One M8.
